The internet is suggesting that Kahlua is a good idea. What’s your liquor of choice?

Rum, like a normal person.

Bourbon
2nd would probably be dark rum. Kahlua would be far down the list for me.

Hmm, I wonder if Wild Turkey American Honey Sting would work out. Completely off the cuff here.

Nothing, because I don’t really drink and eggnog isn’t that great.

I don’t make it myself and I just found some that doesn’t taste like bubble gum. I’m pretty excited.

Fireball. I know it’s not traditional but it’s good.

I prefer mine with cyanide.

In the past I’ve stuck with the usual Kraken Spiced Rum with the exception of a few glasses with Scotch (it was okay).
After many years of thinking about it, this year I finally tried it. Black Sambuca. Only a rough test so far, but the result exceeded my high expectations. This weekend I’ll try the whole shaker thing.

You can get away with a surprising amount of liquors in egg nog. As long as the liquor takes well to spices (rum, whiskey, gin if you’re brave) you should be good.
My mother likes Amaretto, my wife enjoys Kraken, and my best friend likes Bullitt Rye whiskey in their nog.
Personally, Goldschlager and Sailor Jerry together tastes terrific, also in egg nog.

Oooh, I must try black sambuca

Honey doesn’t sound like it would match, Maple and Cinnamon would be better

I tried kahlua and Jamison this time, it’s pretty yummy. I think I have a lot of stuff to try this holiday season now.

This was my first time having it. Google told me to use Black instead of regular with egg nog. I bet the regular would be pretty good too.

Nothing. STRAIGHT NOG

Chewy ginger cookies, and then drink straight nog with the odd swig of peppermint schnapps

I just see a big pile of stomach curdling dairy that’s not worth taking a lactaid pill to drink. I prefer my booze on its own thankyouverymuch.

Whiskey with an E.

Rye whisky.
Although I’ve recently been turned onto the nog-schnapplate. Make hot chocolate with eggnog, and add peppermint schnapps.

Triple sec! But that’s because I like the combination of orange and cream.

I hate the bubblegum taste that some have! Thought I was nuts.
I think bourbon is the best.

Captain Morgan’s

Southern Comfort works best for me. If you are being super festive, you can add in a bit of Rumple Minze (or any Peppermint Schnapps, if you don’t want to get wasted on 100 proof and fight in-laws).
Bourbon is a very close second, and I prefer Makers Mark of Buffalo Trace. Leave the good stuff for the rocks.

Baileys or Jamison

My wife, like yours, loves The Kraken. It performs well but I’m more of a whisky guy.

+1 on Sailor Jerry.

Oh yeah, Rye whiskey is great in there. Crown Maple is pretty good for those that enjoy a less harsh whiskey flavor

Rum, coffee, whiskey, more eggnog, black teas, cereal, and baking goods.
